Brigadier Muhammad Umar Farooq, Regional Directorate Commander, Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) Sindh, was invited over a lunch meeting hosted by Dr. Danish Aman, Chairman, Pakistan Tanners Association (South Zone). During the session, Brigadier Muhammad Umar Farooq gave a comprehensive presentation on the operational framework of the ANF Department, highlighting the challenges faced by ANF teams in combating narcotics activities. He also elaborated on the methods used by smugglers, including the misuse of legitimately imported chemicals by exporters for illicit drug manufacturing. The Commander assured maximum coordination between exporters and the ANF, reaffirming his department’s commitment to eliminating unnecessary obstacles for legitimate businesses. He further emphasized ANF’s resolve to eradicate the elements contributing to the spread of narcotics, protecting the youth and ensuring a safer, drug-free society.

PAKISTAN NAVY ORGANIZED FREE MEDICAL CAMP AT PISHUKAN Pakistan Navy in collaboration with Sahil Welfare Association, organized a Free Medical Camp on 01 November 2025 at Government Boys School, Pishukan, to provide quality primary and secondary healthcare facilities to the local coastal populace. The initiative aimed to facilitate less privileged residents by offering free medical treatment and medicines donated by Sahil Welfare Organization. A total of 1,003 patients, including men, women, and children, were examined and provided free consultations, diagnostic checkups, and medicines. A dedicated team comprising Pakistan Navy doctors and paramedical staff, including male and female GDMOs, rendered professional healthcare services. In addition to treatment, awareness sessions were conducted to educate the local community about maternal and child health, personal hygiene, nutrition, prevention of common diseases, and sanitation of living areas, thereby promoting preventive healthcare practices. Coordination for the camp was undertaken with area notables, Union Council representatives, and Fishery Chairmen to ensure maximum community participation and facilitation. Pakistan Navy remains committed to assisting Coastal Areas by extending quality healthcare facilities to local communities at their doorstep.
